Stephen has over forty years (40) experience in the Fire Fighting & Fire Safety Industry. From 1975 to 2013 Stephen was a Professional Fire Fighter & Training Officer with the Tasmania Fire Service. When he left the Fire Service he started Complete Fire Safety. He has Certificate IV (TAE40110) in workplace training and assessment and has the Tasmanian Government Authority for WORKING WITH VULNERABLE PEOPLE.

During his time as a full time Fire Fighter and Fire Officer he has been exposed to numerous life threatening situations where immediate evacuation of building occupants has been necessary.

Stephen was also a training instructor at TasFire Training, the Tasmania Fire Service Training Complex at Cambridge in Southern Tasmania where he conducted training courses for Breathing Apparatus, Fire Safety, Evacuation Procedures, Emergency Response Teams, Fire Extinguishers, Confined Spaces, Hazardous Materials and Emergency Control Organisation Wardens.

Since commencing Complete Fire Safety Stephen has undertaken fire safety audits for many Tasmanian and Victorian businesses, developed and implemented their emergency procedures and conducted training courses for the Royal Hobart Hospital, Housing Tasmania as well as commercial businesses, Health Care facilities and Local & State Government Departments throughout Tasmania.

With his “hands-on” approach Stephen is in a unique position to provide you with fire safety solutions for your home or business which includes site specific and meaningful training programs for your business.
