OVERVIEW – Warden, Chief Warden & Deputy Chief Warden Combined Course.
This course is designed for a business or organisation where there may be many Wardens but only a limited number of persons who will act as the Chief Warden & Deputy Chief Warden. This course is divided into 2 sessions.
All members of the ECO who are designated as Wardens, Floor or Area Wardens, Chief Wardens & Deputy Chief Wardens will attend the first 4 hour session.
This session covers the requirements to implement the emergency response specified in the workplace emergency procedures or specified by a person at a higher level in the Emergency Control Organisation. People who undertake this work will be working within the command, control and structure of the Emergency Control Organisation.
At the conclusion of Session 1 all designated Wardens, Floor or Area wardens will leave and the persons designated as Chief Warden & Deputy Chief Warden will break for lunch before recommencing session 2.
The second 2 hour session is for those members of the ECO who will be designated as the Chief Warden & Deputy Chief Wardens. People that participate in this section of the course may act as the primary liaison with the emergency services.
SESSION 1 – WARDENS, FLOOR or AREA WARDENS, CHIEF WARDENS & DEPUTY CHIEF WARDENS
Title: Warden – Operate as part of an Emergency Control Organisation.
Duration: 4 hours
Price: $1200.00 for session 1.
- Respond to emergency reports, signals and warnings.
- Initiate and control initial emergency response.
- Anticipate the further development of emergencies.
- Assist with post initial response.
- Written Assessment.
Participants who are deemed competent in the Wardens Course will receive a Statement of Completion to Operate as part of an Emergency Control Organisation.
SESSION 2 – CHIEF WARDENS & DEPUTY CHIEF WARDENS
Title: Chief Warden – Lead an Emergency Control Organisation.
Duration: 2 hours
Price: $180.00 per person for session 2.
CHIEF WARDEN & DEPUTY CHIEF WARDEN ELEMENTS
- Prepare for workplace emergencies.
- Apply, command, control and coordinate aspects of workplace emergency procedures.
- Control the response to emergency reports, signals and warnings.
- Co-ordinate reports and results of initial emergency response.
- Conclude Incident.
- Written Assessment.
TRAINING DELIVERY & ASSESSMENTS
Delivery for the 2 Sessions will be via a powerpoint presentation, videos and class room activities.
Assessment will be undertaken through oral and written questioning and during table top exercises.
Qualified Training personnel will conduct the training and assessment.
Participants who are deemed competent in the Chief Wardens Course will receive a Statement of Completion to Lead an Emergency Control Organisation.
